Wooo hooo! Nyeri is back in the house.
Our favourite Kenyan coffees of all time are from Chorongi. It is a time for pure celebration that it is back.
To us, this is about as good as coffee can get. Luscious black currant, floral rosehips and crispy, juicy malic apple-like acidity.
Get into this one whilst it is here, because it wont last for long!
The Chorongi Factory is one of the Mutheka Farmers’ Cooperative Society's wet mills in Nyeri in Central Kenya. Nyeri is located on the slopes of Mount Kenya, and together with the neighbouring region, Kirinyaga, it is known world wide for coffees with intense, complex, and flavour-dense cup profiles. The factory buys cherries from local smallholder farms. The farmers are organised into cooperative societies that act as an umbrella organisations for the factories where the smallholders deliver their coffee cherries for processing.
