Nyeri is to Kenya what Burgundy is to France. The soils around Mount Kenya are rich, mainly Nitisol, which are developed from volcanic rocks and has better chemical and physical properties than other tropical soils.

This results in very unique coffees that are considered some of the best in the world. Coffees that are syrupy, rich and incredibly sweet

In the cup it's well balanced with a delicate red currant acidity, underlying sweetness with mild chocolate and caramel flavour.

Don't get freaked out by the liquorice reference. It's more about the spice than the candy 🤮

You can read more about the coffee here.
